The Butcher Shop at West Point Market is not your typical grocer's meat department. It is the meat counter of yesteryear, contiuning a 70 year old tradition that began with John Seiler, one of the original founders of West Point Market. Back then, West Point Market was known for its meet, thanks to Mr. Seiler. Today, as the recipient of the 2005 Akron Beacon Journal's "Beacon's Best" Award for Best Meat selection in Akron, we take seriously our long-standing devotion to providing the highest quality meats available. West Point Market also offers USDA prime and upper choice grade meats. All are are cut by our staff  of journeyman meatcutters in store, (never prepackaged) ensuring that you get the prime quality cuts that you need.

Colorado High Country Lamb
This high country lamb is naturally raised and sold at the peak of flavor. It's genuine USDA lamb (less than a year old) so the flavor is mild. Unlike Australian / New Zeland breeds, the rib chops are large, tender and meaty. We've blind-tasted our lamb against dozens of other programs and it consistently wins hands-down.

White Marble Farms Pork
White Marble Farms pork is exceptionally tender and juicy, processed in expert-quality plants using USDA-verified, state-of-the-art animal welfare practices that ensure optimal quality. There are no added preservatives, fillers or flavoring solutions of any kind. Our pork is specially selected for color and marbling for a consistently world-class eating experience.

Our chicken is Ohio born and raised-and that's unusual! Less than one in one hundred broiler-fryers processed in America are from Ohio. Not only is our chicken from Ohio, it is born, raised and processed 30 miles down the road.
