The Zibibbo grape is the ancient "Muscat of Alexandria" grape--it dates back to the ages of Egyptian pharaohs! Muscat of Alexandria is a white wine grape that is considered an "ancient vine". Wine experts believe it is one of the oldest genetically unmodified vines still in existence. While today it is mostly cultivated as a table grape or for raisin production, it is still an important grape in the wine industry.
Our recommendation:
Sweet and delicious, use as a condiment with mild cheeses on your next cheese tray, especially with Brie. Of course, it is excellent on top of your favorite cracker. But sample alone for the first time with your eyes closed to take in the caramel touches for a minute to experience the Meditteranean in the comfort of your home.
